You’ll learn what the top features are to look for in an air purifier that can help with allergies as well as the best products you can buy today.
So, keep watching.
If you suffer from allergies caused by pollen, dust, mold, or animal dander, you’re definitely not alone.
In fact, about 400 million people around the world have allergic rhinitis just like you.
Fortunately, air purifiers can help with all of that. These machines reduce the number of allergens you’re exposed to by keeping the air around you clean.
However, not all air purifiers can tackle microscopic allergens, so you’ll want to be on the lookout for a few key features.
When you’re shopping for an air purifier, the first thing you want to look for is one that includes a pre-filter.
A pre-filter does two things:
First, it traps the largest airborne particles. And second, it extends the life of the main filter so it can do a better job at capturing the finest allergens.
The next thing you want to look for is a “True HEPA” filter. It’s the only type of filter that’s certified to remove 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. This includes the ultrafine particles that make up some allergens. HEPA filters without the word “True” attached to them are not that efficient.
Now that you know what features to look for in an air purifier, here are the top three products you can buy today.
Number one is the Honeywell HPA300. It includes a washable pre-filter and three internal True HEPA Filters for removing microscopic allergens of every kind. The pre-filter also includes activated carbon to help reduce household odors. It’s best for large size rooms up to 465 square feet.
Number two is the Honeywell HPA200. It’s a smaller version of the HPA300 and made for rooms up to 310 square feet.
Number three is the Alen BreatheSmart Classic air purifier. It’s a customizable device that can handle very large spaces up to 1,100 square feet.
You can also choose between four different types of True HEPA filters:
- Pure is the standard filter that’s made just for allergies
- Silver has additional layers of protection for asthma
- FreshPlus helps cut down on smoke and airborne chemicals
- and OdorCell is designed to reduce odors from pets and babies
You also get the option of 14 front panel colors and designs.
