Reviewing the air purifier walmart sells

If you’ve been doing your research into air purifiers, you’ve likely stumbled across the air purifier Walmart sells, or rather the many air purifiers they sell. And at some pretty compelling price points, you may be wondering if they’re worth it. After all, Walmart is a convenient place to shop and is known for quality products at budget-friendly price points.

Today, though, we’re going to take a look into the various air purifiers you’ll find at Walmart, whether in-store or online. The Walmart air purifiers all cater to different needs, including price, square footage and more.

Why You Should Reconsider a Walmart Air Purifier

Ultimately, Walmart’s air purifiers are decent, but there are far better options out there especially regarding price and quality. To that end, we’d be remiss not to recommend a better quality and more affordable air purifier, such as the VEVA 9000.

That said, air purifier Walmart options aren’t at the bottom of our rankings of the best air purifiers, either. As is the case with many air purifiers we review, they’ll get the job done, but aren’t necessarily anything to write home about. You might spend some unnecessary money or get a middle of the pack area coverage model, but they’re not the worst.

So without further ado, here’s our air purifier Walmart reviews.

Walmart’s #1 Best Seller: Coway Airmega 400S

Very expensive, very high performance

The Coway Airmega 400S is one the most impressive air purifiers we’ve reviewed. The only problem? Its hefty price tag. It’s safe to say that the amount on the sticker matches the quality you receive, and then some.

This air purifier covers an absurd 1,500 sq. ft. of room area. For context, most air purifiers on the market cover anywhere between 200 to 500 sq. ft. For this one to cover three times that, it makes it an ideal candidate for commercial use.

We also enjoy the Wi-Fi connect feature. With it, we were able to assess our room’s air quality in real-time — something that most air purifiers are unable to do without an additional, third-party tool. We hooked ours up to an Amazon Alexa, but it’s also compatible with Google Home.

While this air purifier is certainly top-of-the-line, it has a price point to match. As of time of publication, the Coway Airmega 400S air purifier Walmart sells was on sale for nearly $500. Of all the air purifiers we’ve reviewed, this is one of the most expensive we’ve seen.

All of this is to say that unless you need an air purifier for a 60 foot by 25 foot room, an air purifier like the Veva 9000 will suffice.

Walmart’s #2 Best Seller: Holmes aer1 Tower True

Very affordable, very low performance

This air purifier has far less bells and whistles than the Coway and resembles the “typical” air purifier much more closely. For starters, the area coverage is only 192 sq. ft., which will accommodate a small-medium size room. This is on the lower end of area coverage but is certainly more affordable than other options.

In fact, it’s one of the most inexpensive air purifiers we’ve seen to-date. As of time of publication, the Holmes aer1 was below $80, which set off some alarm bells for our team. Air purifiers are rarely any good when they’re priced that low. When the Holmes air purifier Walmart sells arrived, our concerns were validated.

We personally felt that the near-200 sq. ft. area coverage was generous. Many air purifiers do overstate their area of coverage but when you’re dealing with a sub-200 sq. ft. area, there’s a lot of particles staying in the air of most rooms.

Overall, we felt like this was another low-quality air purifier. In fact, for spending a mere $20 more, you could get a model like the VEVA 9000 — our pick for a dependable and affordable air purifier.

Our Pick (Better Than the Air Purifier Walmart Sells): Veva 9000

Very affordable, very high performance

As you might have noticed, we’re big fans of the VEVA 9000 here, and it’s easy to see why. It offers a best-of-both-worlds scenario between price and area of coverage. These are the two big variables you should put into your equation when determining which air purifier to buy.

The VEVA 9000 doesn’t make you compromise on either feature, either. As of time of publication, the VEVA 9000 is priced below $150, which places it on the lower range cost-wise.

It boasts a 600 sq. ft. area of coverage — and holds up that claim when we put it to the test. We’ve reviewed hundreds of air purifiers and even the majority of our favorites fall short of what they advertise, but not the VEVA 9000.

If anything, the VEVA 9000 air purifier beat our expectations and has become one of the best air purifiers we could recommend. It doesn’t have many bells and whistles — such as Wi-Fi enablement — but it gets the job done with flying colors and a price point to match. What more could you want from that?

Bottom Line

Ultimately, the air purifiers Walmart sells are decent, but that’s about it. One costs far too much money for most people’s needs, and the other really only works if you live in tiny apartment.

The VEVA 9000 takes the most attractive features of each, making it a product you won’t regret buying. We know a thing or two about air purifiers here at Home Air Guides, and we can assure you that you won’t be disappointed by it. We certainly can’t say the same thing for the Coway Airmega 400S or the Holmes aer1 Tower True air purifiers at Walmart.
