Photo of Dyson Pure Hot + Cool LinkEarlier this year, we reported that the small-appliance maker Dyson released a new version of their luxury air purifier, called the Pure Cool Link. That product was the first of its kind to include a smartphone app that not only allows control of the device but also monitors the air quality within a room.

In just a few months time, Dyson has gone not just one step further, but two by introducing a new product that combines the power of an air purifier with a heater and fan, all into one unit.

Labeled with the name Pure Hot + Pure Cool, this device is set to be released on September 6, 2016 and is aimed at satisfying all in-home air quality and comfort needs.

Not only does this new device claim to remove 99.97% of particles in the air, including pollen, bacteria, mold, dust, odors and pet dander, but it also gives the users the option to select how clean they want the air to be while at the same time providing a cool breeze or supplemental heat.

This 3-in-1 bundle will help consumers save money by relying less on using whole-home air conditioning and heating units and/or reducing the need for having multiple types of air circulating products inside their home.

For a quick overview of everything the Pure Hot + Cool Link offers, take a look at this CNET video below.

As you can see the Pure Hot + Cool Link offers several advantages:

  • It’s relatively small and compact
  • The oscillation feature pushes hot and cold air throughout more of the room
  • Includes a HEPA filter that only needs replacement once per year if the device is used every day
  • Onboard air quality sensors monitor the harmful particles in the air
  • Smartphone Wi-Fi app controls air temperature, fan speed, device schedule and reports air purity data
  • Also includes a separate remote control

Once released, the Pure Hot + Cool Link will cost around $599.99 and comes in two color options, white or blue.

If you’re looking for a single device that can meet all of your air quality needs, this is a great choice. While the price tag does seem a bit steep, you have to remember that this product is replacing the need for buying three separate units that otherwise would perform the same functions and take up more space.
